The 23rd International Congress on Acoustics, hosted by the German Acoustical Society, will take place from September 9th – 13th next year (2019) in Aachen, Germany. The ICA includes talks and posters on acoustics, a technical exposition on recent advances in acoustics, and a number of associated satellite events on special topics. More information about the conference can be found at the ICA homepage.

If you are a young scientist studying acoustics or a related field and you are interested in attending the conference, a special funding resource is available for you! With the support of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) and the German Acoustical Society (DEGA), the Board of the International Commission for Acoustics (ICA) has established a special grant program to assist young acousticians with the cost of attending the conference. Entitled “ICA-ASA-DEGA Young Scientist Conference Attendance Grants Programme”, the funding resource can cover up to 500 Euros of expenses for conference attendance. In order to be eligible to apply, you must be under 35 years of age and be a undergrad or postgrad student, postdoc, or young acoustician. Information about how to apply can be found here.
