About the Student Council

The ASA Student Council is charged with promoting the interests of ASA student members. Activities of the ASA Student Council include providing support to student members via a website and other means of disseminating information of mutual interest, advocating participation of students in ASA activities and meetings, and promoting ASA membership benefits to potential members. Students with general questions and concerns should contact the representative of their Technical Committee (TC) for more information.

Meet the Student Council

The Student Council is composed of 13 members each of whom represent one Technical Committee (TC). You can learn more about each member of the council on their TC page and on the Meet the Student Council page.

Student Events

The Student Council organizes a number of events at each ASA meeting, including a Student Orientation, the Meet and Greet, the Student Reception, and the Student Outing. More info about each of these events can be found on the Student Council meeting page.

Join the Student Council

Periodically, members of the ASA Student Council graduate or finish their terms as representatives. These transitions leave openings on the ASA Student Council. If you are interested in being a representative, find out more on the Join the Student Council page. If you are interested in getting involved in a less formal manner you can join the Student Delegation.
